Accessing the Bounty of the Ithaca Farmers Market
September 20, 2024: Friends of the Ithaca Farmers Market is excited to announce the launch of the Capital Campaign for the Ithaca Farmers Market Parking Lot project!
The Ithaca Farmers Market was awarded a $3.2 million-dollar NYS Local Waterfront Revitalization Grant to invest in much needed Parking Lot improvements. The grant is a fantastic step forward, but requires the Market to contribute matching funds. We need to raise $750,000.00 to unlock state funds that will result in a better and safer experience for Market visitors. Help us create accessible pathways, improve traffic flow, reduce parking chaos, eliminate potholes and mud puddles, link to the Cayuga Waterfront Trail, plant a diversity of native plants, and reduce runoff into Cayuga Lake. Your gift will help to improve and preserve the Ithaca Farmers Market at Steamboat Landing
for generations to come.
